Leadership Stockton Class of 2025 Supports Future Classes With Donation

Leadership Stockton Class of 2025 Supports Future Classes With Donation

Stockton, CA (July 25, 2025) – Leadership Stockton Alumni Association (LSAA) today announced it has received a $8,630.88 donation from Leadership Stockton class of 2025 to support the Christopher John Serpa Scholarship Fund.  This generous gift will enable LSAA to ensure the ongoing commitment of providing impactful scholarships to the Leadership Stockton program for years to come.

“The Leadership Stockton Class of 2025 is honored to contribute $8,630.88 to the Leadership Stockton Alumni Association’s Christopher Serpa Scholarship Fund. This donation is about paying forward the support, and compassion we experienced during our cohort. Earlier this year, when one of our classmates faced challenges in covering his tuition, the class stepped up. Those who had the means made it possible for him to continue his journey alongside us. That moment captured the heart of what Leadership Stockton is about: the spirit of community, compassion, and that we finish this through to the end. This gift honors the classmates who made it possible for our cohort to finish together. It also reflects the leaders who put in countless hours of work, skill, and tenacity to raise these funds through our class fundraisers, and those that stayed committed to the program all the way to graduation. We hope this gift helps open the door to future leaders to experience this life-changing program, and invest in Stockton’s future, regardless of their financial circumstances.” Leadership Stockton ‘25

“We are incredibly grateful to the Class of 2025 for their generosity,” said LSAA Board President Jaclyn Frenzel.  “This donation will allow the board to continue to help ensure the continued assistance with tuition through the Christopher John Serpa Scholarship Fund.”

LSAA is committed to support the Leadership Stockton Program and cultivate meaningful relationships among our alumni.

Leadership Stockton Alumni Association Expands Scholarship Program for Leadership Stockton

Leadership Stockton Alumni Association Expands Scholarship Program for Leadership Stockton

Stockton, CA (August 22, 2024) – Leadership Stockton Alumni Association (LSAA) has a mission to support the Leadership Stockton program and cultivate relationships among the alumni.  The alumni board has voted to award $5,000, in total, to the recipients of the Christopher Serpa Scholarship.  This year marks the largest one-year support to the Leadership Stockton program which has seen an increase in tuition and student need.

“This year was extremely difficult in choosing the various scholarship winners,” states Jaclyn Frenzel, LSAA board President.  “Each applicant was reviewed by the entire board, assessing the need and committed support they were already receiving.  The board believes each person enrolled in Leadership Stockton has to have a personal stake in the class, thus no applicant was awarded a full scholarship.”

“Supporting the future leaders of our community was really our driving force for increasing the amount awarded this year and for continuing this valuable program,” says Jason Perry, board Vice President.  “We look forward to the growth of these leaders as they experience the full impact of Leadership Stockton this year.”

“As a small business owner and community organizer the work I do is crucial and needed, but not always easy to monetize. Being awarded the Christopher Serpa Scholarship has created access to resources I wouldn’t have otherwise,” stated one of this year’s recipients.

“I would like to thank the Scholarship Committee. I am deeply honored to be selected as a recipient of the Christopher Sherpa Scholarship. This support means more than words can express, lifting a significant burden off my shoulders and allowing me to focus entirely on the greatness and impact that I will have with the community of Stockton. I am incredibly grateful for your belief in my potential. This scholarship is a profound reminder that I am not alone on this journey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making a difference in my life and my future,” stated a class member of Leadership Stockton, class of 2025.
